Adam Gase could be on the shortlist for OC

What’s everybody’s thoughts on this? He’s got ties to Saban when he was at LSU and he’s a Michigan St alum. Spent time with the Lions when Mooch hired him in 2003. He stayed with the team until 2007 when he was the QB coach under Mike Martz. He followed Martz to San Fan in 2008. He then became the O-Coordinator for the Broncos and worked with Manning during his record breaking season. He followed John Fox to Chicago when Fox was canned in Denver and then left after a year to become the Dolphins head coach.

Since taking over as OC or HC his offenses have finished 1st (Manning’s record breaking season), 4th, 21st (CHI), 24th, 29th, and 30th in total points. Not really inspiring. Do you guys think he’s an upgrade to Cooter?

Would love it but with so many HC openings wonder if finds another team to run?

#4

I think he would be a definite upgrade over JBC.

As long as Gase is an OC and not a HC, I’m in favor of him.

I have a strange suspicion that the next OC is already on the Lions coaching staff.

#6

Yeah, me too.

I hope not. Why wouldnt they have made a move before the season ended if we were going internal? Frustrating.

That would make me vomit and lose all hope for next year.

OH.HELL.NAW!

I don’t think it’s an internal move either. I want Scott Linehan back. LOL. Really, I do. I just know he’s unavailable
