One roll ground sage Bob Evans sausage
Leftover turkey, say about a pound or two give or take
One package boil in bag rice, white, already boiled, though wild rice would be good too if u want to do that
6 green onions, chopped w/scallions too
1 small bunch fresh parsley, fine chop
1 8 oz package of sliced mini Bella mushrooms
A few ounces of raw julienned carrots
2 cartons Trader Joes turkey gravy
16 oz water
1 tblspn thyme
Garlic salt, celery salt, black pepper and white pepper to taste
Brown small chunks sausage, chop turkey leftovers and add all ingredients to pot, bring to a boil, then simmer 1 HR on low, adjust spices to taste and serve at thickness desired based on cook time.
I like sage and white pepper forward w enough salt to just get it past bland. Add a tblspn of butter to your bowl before ladling over, adds depth. Serve with a pint noir pairing. Trust me on that.
