I see 2 Watt’s, and 2 Bosa’s in the top 6…

…which lead my brain to reflect on Boss Bailey the brother of HOF CB Champ Bailey, and Terrence Holt the brother of HOF WR Torry Holt.

…which lead my brain to the realization that we are the Danny Devito of NFL Franchises.

So maybe just maybe Flowers isn’t as bad as lots of folks want you to believe.

Flowers was double teamed second most on that list. :open_mouth:

Good thing the Lions extended Dahl thru 2021.

The guy who was double teamed by far the most, Arik Armstead, is a UFA this year I believe…

If the Lions can get one or two more pass rush specialist, (cough Chris Jones), Flowers will look a whole lot better.

i agree completely. Get a pass rushing DT and it opens flowers up a little.

Yep! Breakout season for him after being injured '15-'17.

Chris Jones: 15.5 sacks in 2018. 9 in 2019. He may test the FA.

Chiefs’ major cap hits in 2020:

Frank Clark $22.7 million
Sammy Watkins $21 million
Tyreek Hill TBA but expected to be between $15 and $20 million
Tyrann Mathieu $16.3 million
Eric Fisher $12 million
Anthony Hitchens $11.3 million
Mitchell Schwartz 10.8 million
Travis Kelce $10.4 million
Laurent Duvernay-Tardif $9 million
Eric Berry $8 million in dead money

That’s over $135 million dollars tied up in just nine players on the roster. And that’s not counting ahem another contract discussion on offense that is expected to end up being the biggest of them all.

The most likely path the Chiefs can take if Jones is not part of the long-term plan is the tag-and-trade.

i would definitely take Chris Jones.

Kinda alluded to that in another thread. Flowers had very little help. He really did work himself back from injury. Okwara is average at best. Hand and Daniels were hurt and were the penetrating DT’s. Our D-line was a disaster from jump street. If Hand comes back and stays healthy and we can draft a true edge threat and Bryant develops we could turn things around without tons of draft and FA capital. One DT and one DE probably as long as health is good. Add another good CB to go with Slay (yes I think we should keep him) and the defense is drastically better. Move Tavai to the middle and Davis to the outside. I think we have a lot of pieces for a decent defense we just need them healthy and a full camp to work on technique within the scheme. Can MP do it? Biggest question!

I agree w/all of this! If we have some semblance of health on the DL, along with adding a playmaker and a depth guy, or two. Put Davis in position to win. Let Tavai take his responsibilities. Good stuff.
Extend Slay, and replace Melvin. Could get a whole lot better very quickly.

I TOLD YOU, the Lions are in a class of their own! Just awful!

And definitely not coincidence.
